Mentally British or not, Fun is guaranteed.
Our England trip in grade eight was a fun experience for every student. The stay at host families was less problematic, than most students had expected, according to the feedback I received.
Not only were the host families kind and patient with the groups, but the overall mentality and calm, nonchalant demeanor of the British was intriguing to most. We visited the Tower of London, Tower bridge and the Cathedral of Canterbury. During our free-time, we faced the difficulties of communicating on our own. With minimal knowledge, we had to come out of our shells. Surprisingly, the feedback of that challenging situation was overall great though.
Because we were challenged to use our English knowledge, many students noticed, that their English is better than they thought it was.
Not only was the England trip a fun experience and possibly one of the most interesting class trips I’ve had so far, but it was crucial for our self-awareness of our strengths and weaknesses aswell.
To end this, I just want to say that I had a lot of fun, as the planning of the trip was well done, with exciting activities. I also appreciate how our daily schedule was well-timed and didn’t cause us much trouble.
It definitely gets a 10/10 from me!
